	Stockholm is the capital of Sweden. Some call it the Venice of Scandinavia with its beautiful Skargarden, the archipelago of islands which makes it extraordinary. As Sweden is a kingdom you will find plenty of historical buildings and castles in and around Stockholm.
	Gothenburg at the west coast is a charming city with quite some history and a beautiful coast with many islands. Elfsborg Fortress is is a boat trip from the harbour in Gothenburg.



	20-25 years ago Swedish food was pretty boring, basic stable items and very often sweet. Due to the immigration of mainly other Europeans you will have no problem to find almost any type food mainly in the bigger cities. Sweden like the other Scandinavian countries are big seafood lovers. There is hardly a dish where you would not have some seafood as a starter or main course. Herring, salmon, fish roe, cod fish you name it. One of the Swedish specialties is there crisp bread. The are numerous variations in flavors and shape.
