| Kuala Lumpur offers a wide range of local cuisine. Mainstream are of Malay, Indian and Chinese origin. Foreign cuisine is widely available, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Swiss, Thai to mention a few. If you are in a hurry and food stalls don't tickle your taste buts fast food like burgers, sandwiches and salads are plenty available. Please remember, that due to the multi racial cohabitation flavors have a tendency to mix. Local food do contain chili in fresh, marinated or powder form. Below are some addresses of interest. | Bak Kut Teh | Bak Kut Teh, is a local (Malaysia and Singapore) Chinese dish consisting of braised pork (your choice of ribs and/or innards) in a herbal soup. It is served with Chinese bread sticks cut in pieces and salted vegetables. The herbal soup can be very herbal, sweetish, containing a lot cinnamon or even white pepper. It's worth to try. | ||
